Humber College has had many nicknames over the decades. In the early days, few were compliments.
So much has changed since.
And here you are - aiming to be bold, brash, disruptive, differentiated (contrary to the herd in the words of Youngme Moon, Harvard author of the book Different).
Thing is, it takes bravery to be bold, brash, disruptive and differentiated.
Which begs the question: Is the Humber College team brave enough to be different? To be genuinely disruptive?

Chances are, way more than 71% of the people who read this proposal will not know who Tenzing is without help from Google. But they will know who Sir Edmund Hillary is and what he achieved. Tenzing, Sir Edmund's sherpa, is both our name and the metaphor for our business culture and values: be amazing guides, own and mitigate the risks, do the heavy lifting, help everyone complete the journey and always (ALWAYS) ensure the client prospers above all.

We've been creating successful brands for years (spanning five decades actually). We're energetically authentic on the outside and full of wisdom on the inside.
While we see unlimited potential for all our clients, we do limit ourselves to serving about 16 clients per year. Agency growth is not our goal. Client growth is.
We've created a lot of brands and brand-based campaigns. Most of them have won awards (category specific, regional, national and international). All of them have generated the desired results.
We few, we happy few...Tenzing employs ten full-time guides and partners with organizations like Northern Commerce (digital media) to scale up, down and across depending on the work.
Canadian-owned and operated virtually or in person wherever our clients need us to be. COVID killed permanent offices in the service sector - it didn't impact our spirit at all.
Tenzing has zero account people (handlers). We have zero time sheets. We don't watch clocks and we don't act like accountants. So how do we create, serve, manage and deliver without all that traditional agency baggage?
We are brand and positioning strategists, designers, writers, project managers, facilitators, developers, bias-free media planners and client service specialists. Equally important, we are paddlers, parents, learners, dreamers, doers, travelers, weight lifters, from here and from away, and endlessly, insatiably curious.
